Delivery Policies
Please allow 3-6 weeks for delivery of your items. We do beat that in most instances, but there are instances that do take this time frame. When purchasing with a major credit card, we do not charge your credit card until the merchandise is ready to ship. At that time, we will email you tracking information.
If you would like to check on the status of your order, please email us to allow us to research the order and get you a response. Due to high volume of calls, it is often difficult to get you an answer on a phone call.
Unless you order White Glove Delivery Service, all deliveries are Curb Side. The freight carriers are not insured to go into the home nor prepared to move the freight inside. Please make all necessary arrangements to take possession at the truck.
Please inspect all packages at the time of delivery and note any damage on the driver’s delivery ticket. If your item has some damage, PLEASE DO NOT REFUSE the entire shipment. If the item clearly cannot be repaired, you can refuse that one item, and we will replace it. Most items can be easily repaired and we will send someone out to repair the item or recommend its replacement. If you purchase the supplemental shipping insurance, you do not lose any of your rights if you choose to accept the item and then we determine that it cannot be repaired or you do not like the repairs. We can still replace it at that time.
White Glove Delivery
When ordered, we use a nationwide company to perform in home delivery and setup. When you order the White Glove Service we will deliver your furniture to their nearest terminal. They will then inspect the furniture and call you to schedule a time and date for delivery. They will deliver with 2-3 uniformed delivery people who will bring the merchandise into the home, unpack and assemble it in the room of your choice. They will also haul away all packaging materials. Please note that White Glove Fees include up to 1 staircase and normal circumstances. There may be additional fees for unusual circumstances such as if the room is not cleared, multiple staircases or if the furniture does not fit.
In Home
Strongly recommended for those who need furniture delivered inside the home. Two or more uniformed men will deliver merchandise and place it in the room of your choice. No assembly or packing removal ( For additional services please refer to white glove service ).
Curbside service
Unless otherwise specified, all shipments are shipped via common carrier and arrive for a curb side delivery. The carrier will call you to schedule a time and date for delivery. The trucking company will use a liftgate or assist you in bringing the merchandise off the truck. They are not allowed into the home and generally there is only one driver and he will not have dollies or tools necessary to move furniture. For curb side deliveries, please make all necessary arrangements to take possession of the furniture at the truck.
Insurance
All items are insured by the freight company when they are picked up. Please note that unless you purchase the supplemental insurance (see below) you will be responsible for filing any claims and collecting from the freight company directly. Please note that unless you note any damage on the driver’s delivery ticket, the carrier may not accept the claim. Unless Supplemental Insurance is purchased, Max Furniture has no liability for the merchandise once it leaves our docks. If your merchandise needs to be replaced, you would pay for a new item and then collect from the freight company. WE HIGHLY SUGGEST SUPPLEMENTAL INSURANCE.
Supplemental Insurance
Supplemental Insurance is calculated at 1.5% of the value of your merchandise. With Supplemental Insurance, Max Furniture takes full responsibility for any damage and will take over all claims. You will still note any evident damage at the time of delivery on the driver’s delivery ticket, but you would then notify Max Furniture. We will also replace or repair your merchandise at our cost as soon as possible without waiting for any claims process. The Supplemental Insurance also covers any hidden damage not seen at the time of delivery but discovered within 14 days after delivery.
Privacy
Max Furniture does not sell or share any of its customer lists. All information collected is solely for the use of Max Furniture. If you would like to opt out of any emails about specials or promotions that are Max Furniture related, you may click on the Opt Out box when you set up your account or you may contact us at customerservice@maxfurniture.com and we will immediately remove you from that list.
Warranty
Max Furniture warranties all furniture sold unless it is specifically listed “AS IS” for 1 full year from the date of sale. The warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship only. If you have any warranty issues, please notify us at customerservice@maxfurniture.com. We may at our option elect to repair or replace the merchandise or send you parts as necessary. Please inquire about an available Limited 5 Year Extended Warranty.
Returns
We know that purchasing over the internet can be difficult at times. We do offer a 14 day return guarantee. If you get your furniture and do not like the color, quality or if it was just not what you were expecting, you may return it for a refund. Returns will be accepted only if you notify us within 14 days of your items being delivered and will not be accepted without a return number being issued before the item is shipped back. A refund will be equal to the price of your order less all shipping charges incurred to get the items to you and back to our warehouse and a 15% restocking fee on all items. You pay a discounted shipping rate or receive free shipping, in most cases, through our site. You will be responsible for our actual full shipping cost and not the discounted rate or free shipping rate in the event of a return. Returns will only be accepted and credits issued if the order is in new condition with no damage and in the original packaging when it arrives back at our warehouses. If an order is refused with no damage or without an authorization number, you will be charged all shipping costs we incur to get the items to and from your shipping address.
